Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope

As a UX Designer for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, I focused on creating intuitive game flows, designing impactful feedback systems, and optimizing navigation and menus to deliver a clear, engaging, and enjoyable player experience.

Key Contributions:

  • Onboarding Experience: Collaborated with user researchers and playtesters to refine onboarding designs, ensuring a smooth and accessible learning curve for players of all skill levels.
  • HUD & Menus: Played a key role in designing and iterating on the Action Console and Shop Menu, working closely with designers and tech teams to deliver clean, visually engaging interfaces that effectively conveyed gameplay mechanics.
  • 3D Signs & Feedback Systems: Developed 3D visual designs and feedback systems in partnership with tech artists and VFX teams, balancing functionality with fun to create a cohesive and immersive player experience keeping an eye for Accessibility.

Through iterative processes and close collaboration the UR lab, the project emphasized delivering a polished and player-centric user experience, bridging the technical and creative aspects of the game.
